So here we are finally beginning our adventure, and it still does not quite feel real; however tomorrow morning when we have been walking around lost with our 12kg bags on at 6am looking for the first hostel for an hour or so, I am sure it will!
We have done a lot of planning, yet still have no idea how we will get from Bolivia to Iguass Falls. Anyone who has seen my colour-coded itinerary will know how meticulously planned it is and therefore how much it annoys me that there is a big chunk missing in the middle!
So I just asked Chris what he hoped to get from the trip and he stated, I do not know but know what he does not want to get out of the trip is 'number one food poisoning and number two, realising that we are not meant to be together'. Brilliant, he clearly has high hopes for the trip!
I feel like we are about to embark on a series of mini city breaks, with everyday being completely different to the previous, particularly as we change country and even moreso when we change continents from South America to Asia.
Every destination I have read about makes me excited to visit it so I have given up reading about places too far into our trip so as to avoid wishing the time away.
So now we will just look forward to the first few days when we will hopefully see some penguins on las islas ballestas just off the coast of Peru, near Paracas National Park.
